Starlight Glimmer

“Wait! Where are you going?” Trixie asked trying catching up to me. I tell that we have stop this Storm King before it's too late. “WHAT! You want to go against that creep?” I tell her we have to do all we can while Twilight and the others go look for the queen. “We don't know what this maniac is capable of. I mean taking on Chrysalis is one thing but to this guy is leagues above her.”

“Which is why we need help,” I tell her as race down the streets. She asks me if we're going to the Crystal Empire to get Sunburst. “No, Sunburst has a bad case of unicorn flu and so does Shining Armor” I tell her as she asks who we are going to see, “the doctor.” she asks what could Dr. Stable do to fight the Storm King. “Not that doctor, I mean Dr. Whooves.”

“Are you nuts that pony is off is rocker,” Trixie says pulling my tail trying to stop me. She says that he believes he's a time traveler and is being chased by killer robots. While that is true he might be the only pony who can help stop the storm king.

Storm King

“Don't worry my lord I will bring the princess to you,” Tempest said as I cut of the spell. I look out on this kingdom. Soon I will have the final piece to secure my rule and bring Equestria to its knees.

“You know I find it hard to believe that you were the demonic Nightmare Moon,” I told the petrified moon princess as I walked back into the throne room. Even in my land we heard of the evil of Nightmare and how she could command the forces of darkness. Even summoning the dead to rise from their graves. “Now look at you, a decoration,” I sit down on the throne as one of my troops walks in. “This had better be important,” I tell him as he unrolls a magic map showing two ponies leaving Canterlot. “She's the princess' student” I said pointing to the pink pony.

I order him to keep an eye out on her. We can't have her going off and getting help, “not that is there anything she could do,” I said watching the minion run off to fulfill my orders. I look over to Celestia, “Don't look so shocked princess, it's nothing personal,” I tell her getting comfortable.

Trixie

“Why not call on...Discord...he could easily take on the creep,” I tell Starlight cringing at the fact of calling that annoying being. Starlight says that his magic would be sensed by the storm king. “Okay how about Thorax, I am sure he would lend a hoof to free Canterlot,” my friend rolls her eyes and says we have no other choice. “You know you say that...,”

“Look I am not sure about this either but given the situation it's the best choice,” Starlight says walking up to the door and knocking. No answer, she puts her ear to the door saying she heard something go bang in there. “Come he might be in...,” she says as the door opens and the doctor looks at us.

“Starlight Glimmer, Trixie what are you doing here?” he asks showing us in. Starlight tells her about the Storm King and his take over of Canterlot. “Great whickering stallions! Did you say Storm King,” he walks over to the book case and takes out a book about the lands beyond Equestria. He says the Storm King comes from south of Equestria where he rules with an iron hand. “He tried to....wait a second why are you are here. Why didn't Twilight or the other princesses come?” he asks wary.

“Twilight is seeking help from some queen and the others were captured,” the doctor turns pale at those words. “Please doctor we need your help.” The stallion thinks for a second before taking a piece of paper from the drawer.

“I hope you're not planning to origami them to death,” I said looking at the sheet. Whooves rolls his eyes before explaining this is special paper. It has the ability read the minds of ponies and reveal what is necessary to get into Canterlot. “Since when you do know magic?” I ask him cautiously. He says it's not magic but technology.

“However we will not something to defend ourselves if we're caught,” he says rummaging through a closet. “I used this baby when those tin heads tried to take over a planet once,” he takes out a baseball bat. Starlight asks how this could help. “Watch this,” he presses a button and it transform into a gun. “Come on, we have to get to Canterlot on the double,” he says as Starlight closes her eyes and teleports us to Canterlot.

Dr. Whooves

“Great whickering stallions, it's like a war zone,” I said as we arrived in the city. “I haven't this much since the robots tried to take over that one planet,” the two mares look at me strangely. “Trixie you're coming with me to free the town. Once we are done we will meet up with Starlight and take out the Storm King,” Starlight swallowed hard looking at the castle. “Hopefully our foe won't expect us.”

“Don't worry Starlight, you can do this,” Trixie assures her friend taking her hoof. She assures that with her skills and magic we can get the job done. Starlight asks how we can take him on as she mentioned earlier that Chrysalis was nothing compared to the Storm King. “Yes I said that but I was scared. I know you Glimmy and know that you can take whatever the Storm King throws at you,” the unicorn blushes at the nickname and wishes us luck. “We don't need luck,” she says as Starlight heads to the palace.

“Okay what's the plan,” Trixie asks me. I tell her we should find some guards to back us up and from there go find the mayor. She looks around and gives a sigh. I ask her if she's okay, “yeah just a bad memory,” I tell her now is not the time to dwell on the past. “You're right, let's get started,” I said pointing towards Canterlot town hall.

Starlight Glimmer

“Okay Starlight you can do this,” I said sneaking down the hallway to throne room. I have faced worse before I took on Chrysalis, “but then I had Trixie, Discord, and Thorax to help,” I swallowed hard trying to steel myself for what lays ahead. I start to head the door when I heard somepony coming.

“What was that,” a voice said as two Canterlot guards walked down the hall. Something was off about them their eyes were clouded over a blue aura surrounded them. The Storm King must have...”Over here,” he said as I tried to an invisibility spell but something was messing with my magic. “It's the princess' student,” he says aiming his magic at me but I dodge it.

“Snap out of it...,” I tell them but the Storm King's magic was powerful. “You're being controlled by...,” a large shadow loomed over me. “...the...Storm...King...,” I turn around and see the tyrant behind me. He laughs asking if I really thought I would get away with this.

“Your princess is as good as mine. However I don't need to be at full power to deal with you,” he aimed his staff at me but I charged him before he could attack. I told them that there are others on the way. “Who? That two bit illusionist and the time traveler. Soon they will be captured as well,” he gets up and fires his staff causing a chunk of ceiling to come crashing on me. I try to get free but can't. “Don't worry Ms. Glimmer.” he picks up a black orb and throws it. “Good night Starlight,” is the last thing I hear before everything goes black.

Trixie

“Why would they invade Town Hall?” I ask Whooves as we walk inside the building. He tells me that he needs the mayor to ensure none stand up to him. It seems he needs the mayor to keep the other ponies in line. She tells them everything is okay and no one resists. “That's actually...,” he place a hoof on my mouth and pulls me into an empty room. “What's is it?” I ask as he peeks out through the keyhole.

“Guards, no doubt brainwashed by the Storm King,” he explains. “We can only hope he's not expecting an attack. Let him get complacent and when the time is right...,” he motions me to follow him out the door. “We have to be careful Trixie,” he warns looking at his device. “There's a strong magical presence...,” something doesn't feel right.

Down the hall I can see a group of the king's goons coming down the hall. “Uh..doctor?” I said as they get closer. He looks up and sees them surrounding us.

“Uh yes, we're from the palace the Storm King sent us to make sure you subdued the mayor,” he gives them them the paper. “See, now if you...,” one of them kicks the doctor into a wall. “Trixie you need to...,” was all he got out before blacking out.

“I am warning you don't want to mess with the Great and Powerful....,” a magical chain wraps around me. I hear a voice laugh saying that this was most amusing. “Amusing? I am the...,” the image of Storm King appeared before me.

“...Great and Powerful Trixie,” he laughs as a group of Canterlot guards come towards us. “Take the interlopers to the basement. I don't want them to ruin anything.” he says as we are dragged away. I just hope Starlight will succeed in her mission...
